PenAlyn Property Maintenance Services were looking for a supply chain solutions partner to implement an efficient van stock management system to help increase operative productivity and drive efficiencies.

Integrating IT Systems with Electronic Van Stock Management

PenAlyn made a significant investment to create a bespoke property services management tool called MAVIS with IT provider MWL. TP Managed Services can integrate with any IT provider and provide PenAlyn with a fully automated van stock replenishment system.

Stock profiles (electronic catalogues) are loaded onto each operative’s mobile device. When a part is used, it is logged by the operative via the mobile device and a replenishment order is automatically generated and sent to a designated Travis Perkins Branch. The TP Managed Services solution also includes effective e-trading, automatic processing of invoices, point of sale validation and electronic invoicing.

PenAlyn now has constant visibility of stock profiles and usage on its own back office system. This provides them with greater control over operative purchases and reduces administration time and invoicing costs. With each operative’s vehicle managed as its own stock location, TP Managed Services ensure that the right materials are stocked in full per trade.
