Travis Perkins Managed Services (TPMS) partnered with Stroud District Council (SDC) to streamline their materials supply chain, reduce operative downtime, and enhance their repairs programme through the implementation of TPgo SelfServe.
The Implementation of TPgo SelfServe
TPgo SelfServe provides SDC with a 24/7 unmanned store, strategically placed to serve their housing stock. The unit offers operatives constant access to the materials required for distress purchases.
Every item is tagged with an RFID chip, so when an operative takes what they need, the container automatically scans the remaining inventory. This provides a real-time view of stock levels and triggers automated replenishment orders to the local branch, ensuring essential materials are always available.
All data feeds into a central cloud-based portal, allowing the council to manage users, view access logs, and monitor stock levels. Integrated CCTV provides complete security and visibility for every visit.
The Impact: A New Era of Responsive Repairs
The implementation of TPgo SelfServe has significantly boosted SDC’s operative productivity, as with 24/7 access to materials, operatives are achieving higher first-time fix rates, leading to greater tenant satisfaction.
TPgo SelfServe from TPMS is the future of efficient materials management, having driven better outcomes for the council, its operatives, and the community.
