As part of our ongoing commitment to social value activities under the Cardiff City Council contract, Travis Perkins Managed Services provides CV Workshops and Mock Interview Employability Workshops to encourage unemployed residents living in Cardiff to pursue a career in our industry.
Events are designed to target NEETs, care leavers, job seekers, and marginalised groups who would otherwise struggle to find and sustain employment.
Supporting ‘Into Work’ Initiatives
TPMS, in collaboration with ‘Into Work Advice Services,’ recently held a CV Writing Workshop, led by Molly Harris, followed by a week-long work placement at the Travis Perkins South Cardiff Branch. The event catered to 21 unemployed Cardiff residents, featuring insightful discussions, practical guidance, and a deep dive into potential career opportunities at Travis Perkins.
This workshop provided practical, hands-on experience for participants in a supportive environment and significantly boosted their confidence, employability, and set a strong foundation for future partnerships aimed at enhancing job readiness and community engagement.
“We are delighted to welcome Gentjan to the TP Cardiff South Team on a permanent work contract. He has become a reliable and valuable member of the team. He has a positive attitude and an infectious smile and is always willing to help.”
Gareth Williams, Branch Manager, TP Cardiff South
“I am really enjoying working at the TP Cardiff South Team. I have grown into my role and become one of the primary pickers and loaders of kitchens for Benchmarx.”
