As part of our partnership with Catrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd (CCG) Travis Perkins Managed Services, has committed to employing apprentices as part of the workforce at the store. Travis Perkins Managed Services is committed to giving back to the community with its social value projects.
Two previous apprentices have already completed their Apprenticeships and have been offered full-time employment with Travis Perkins in North Wales. Osian joined Travis Perkins straight from school and is based at Gwynedd stores where he is currently working in the warehouse as part of his apprenticeship. We are proud to be a business that helps the community, by investing in young people.
Osian says: “I have always admired Travis Perkins as a business, my father has worked with them for 18 years and I have always wanted to follow in his footsteps. When I heard about two apprenticeship roles opening up at my local store, I immediately applied through the online Travis Perkins career portal…Once I have completed my apprenticeship I would like to progress my career with Travis Perkins and eventually be in charge of my father!”
Community engagement projects such as this one help young people gain experience in the workplace and improve their employment opportunities. By offering these apprenticeships to local students we are giving back to the community.
